Noam Chomsky to Speak on the Crisis in Gaza

November 30, 2009

World-famous anarchist philosopher Noam Chomsky will speak on the December 2008-January 2009 Israeli assault on Gaza and the siege it has imposed on Gaza’s inhabitants next week in Boston, Massachusetts.  The event will take place at 7pm on Sunday, December 7, at the Eliot Church in Newton, and will also feature the remarks of Nancy Murray, President of the Gaza Mental Health Foundation.  The event will serve as a fundraiser for the Gaza Freedom March.

Chomsky is well-known for his longstanding opposition to much of U.S. and Israeli policy.  His original remarks on the attack on Gaza, entitled “Exterminate all the Brutes,” can be read here (or viewed, in slightly different form, here), while his most recent public appearance, which he calls “Palestine and the Region in the Obama Era,” can be seen here.
